Ever since its inception, Hope for the Hopeless has strived to bring hope to the lives of many of our underprivileged brethren. Education has been our top priority. The success of each of our sponsored students gives us a great sense of fulfilment and joy.
HFTH takes pride to note that our first graduate has been successful in his career as an Executive with a reputed financial institution. In appreciation of the assistance rendered to him to complete his graduation, he volunteers to help us in whatever capacity he can as and when time permits. He is now happily married and blessed with a baby. We at HFTH wish him success in all his future endeavours.
We are happy to announce that among our upcoming graduates this year, two have been selected in campus interviews and have been placed in prominent MNC's like TCS and McKinsey.
Upcoming this year, are four college students who will be graduating from prestigious educational institutions in the city.
HFTH plans to help as many students as possible, to complete their graduation and place them on their career path.
Training for self-employment
Our Self Employment Programme took off on the 18th August.2012. Susila Paulraj our Volunteer organised the training for making soap powders, detergents etc. which are used in households. They showed keen interest. Honey Udayaraj another Volunteer showed them a few things on beauty treatment. some of them were very interested.
Ramaswamy
Ramaswamy literally lives in that three wheeler. A poor lady gives him a place to sleep at night in a verandah outside her home. HFTH gives monthly provisions to him and she cooks it for him
Tree House
We call this our "Tree House" as the entire hut is tied to two trees, a lampost and supported by a compound wall. This old lady lives by herself. She gets a pension from the Government and we provide her with her monthly rations which is just enough for her. The cot, utensils and stove were provided by us. She is very contented and we are happy to help her.
Diwali Party For Children
A Diwali party is conducted every year for these kids who are left in a creche while the mothers go out to work. Most of them are domestic maids and others are helpers in construction work. We conduct games for the children and everyone gets a goody bag to take home which comprises of a gift according to their ages, talcum powder, soap, biscuits, sweets and balloons.

These are a few of our sponsored children - they are from very poor families and most of them have only one parent. These children are in Kancheepuram District and we visit them now and again to check on how they are progressing..
HFTH - Diwali Function 2011
Every year we have a Diwali get-together with a small entertainment programm, followed by tea and snacks. Each family gets a gift.
Home Improvement
This poor lady works in three houses as a domestic. She lives in one room where there is no place to put a cot. We provide her with monthly provisions.She has two children - one she drops off at a day care place and the other is left with the neighbours while she goes to work. She lost her husband and works hard. We donated utensils, a ceiling fan, sheets and towels etc.
HFTH's First Graduate Student
HFTH's first graduate thanking us for seeing him through College. We organised Spoken English classes which he attended and secured a job during the Campus Interviews.
